The 2nd Annual Race and Ride for Autism was held this weekend at the Stockton 99 Speedway. Carlos Vieira Racing, Inc and Carlos Vieira Foundation would like to thank everyone who helped in making this day a success!! There were over 150 motorcycles on the Poker Run and 22 Western Late Models racing in the seasons best 100-lap main event!
Team 51 FIFTY put a lot of effort into getting ready for the day especially with the racecar. Carlos qualified 9th and with the invert he started on the pole. He led the race for the first 31 laps and was competing for the top 5 for the rest of the race. Mike David who was racing the Race for Autism 51X car qualified 7th and during the last 30-laps was an all out battle with Mike David taking the checkered flag and Carlos slid sideways over the finish line with the 4th place car attached to his rear end. Carlos and the team was at the New Stockton 99 Speedway again this weekend for another Western Late Model 50-lap main event. Carlos qualified 7th and managed to keep his position and finish 7th during a competitive race! Next weekend is the 2nd Annual Race and Ride for Autism presented by Carlos Vieira Racing, Inc and Carlos Vieira Foundation!

Team 51FIFTY was at the New Stockton 99 Speedway this weekend for the Western Late Model 50-lap main event. Carlos and the team qualified 8th and finished the race in 6th position. They will be back in Stockton next weekend for another 50-lap race!

This weekend the team was at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale for an SRL race. Carlos and the team qualified 8th out of 24 cars and got the invert so they started on the pole. Carlos kept in the top 5 for the first half of the race until he got tapped by another car which caused him to spin out. The tap caused some serious rear-end damage therefore he wasn't able to race as hard as he would have liked to. The team will be racing the WLM in three weeks at the same track!

This weekend was a 130-lap SRL race at the Stockton 99. Carlos began the race but the car had an electrical problem and he wasn't able to finish. The next SRL race will be in Madera on the 26th.

This weekend the New Stockton 99 held Twin 50's. For the first 50 Carlos had started in the back but made his way up to the front of the pack to finish in 8th position. During the second 50 his car wasn't handling as good and he finished 11th. The team will be back in Stockton on June 12th for the SRL race!

Stockton 99 held a 40-lap race for the Late Model division this weekend. Carlos and the team were there for practice on Friday and the race on Saturday. Carlos qualified in 5th position and started in 6th with an invert of 10. With 15-laps left Carlos was part of a crash and was sent to the back of the pack along with the other cars. He made his way back up to the top 10 but just before reaching the checkered flag a car spun out and Carlos went high but still hit the wall causing two right flats. He ended up finishing 7th out of 16 cars.

The team was at the Las Vegas Bullring for the third SRL race of the season. They had a good qualifying time of 7th out of 28 cars and with the invert it put Carlos starting in 3rd. During the first lap a car in the back spun out and got back on the track when Carlos and the leaders were coming around and it caused a crash and Carlos was involved. He got off the track and the team quickly tore off the front fenders and sent him back out. Because of the accident Carlos missed a couple of laps and finished in 19th position.

This weekend there was a 100-lap race at the All American Speedway in Roseville. The team had the car working well for the main race but it started to get loose half way through. Carlos ended up finishing in 12th position.

This weekend the team went to their first ever race at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, CA for the SRL tour series. The team spent all day Friday practicing and getting used to the track. Saturday was qualifying and the 135-lap race. At the beginning of the race there was an accident that Carlos was unable to avoid but the team worked really hard to get the car back out there to finish the race! Next weekend they'll be racing the late model in Roseville, CA.

This past weekend Team 51FIFTY went back to the All American Speedway in Roseville to race 50-laps in the WLM division. During qualifying Carlos had the 5th fastest time out of 18 cars and finished 6th in the race.

The team spent the last two weekends at the All American Speedway in Roseville to prepare for their first SRL race. The team worked very hard to get the car set up and they qualified 14th out of 31 cars. During the 125-lap race Carlos avoided many wrecks and made his way up to 4th place. The 4th place finish was a great accomplishment for the team and all their hard work paid off. They are looking forward to their next SRL race!

Team 51FIFTY went down to Irwindale for the Toyota All Star Showdown, the first race of the 2010 season. The team was eager to get back on the track and take part in Thursday and Fridays practice. Saturday was qualifying and the exciting 55-lap race in which Carlos finished 27th.
